The Retreat Property

The Temple of Inner Peace property is located 50 kilometers outside of Iquitos. A 50 minute walk from the road, it offers a beautifully peaceful retreat environment. The property is 20 hectares – 100 meters wide and an amazing 2 kilometers long. Streams of water flow throughout the center, from which one can wash with a bucket of water. A deeper, wider stream flows about 250 meters from the property entrance. There, one can swim or fish.

The property has many fruit trees throughout. There are bananas, mangoes, cashews, anoni, jungle grapes, and other exotic fruits local to Peru. There is also a small vegetable garden and plantation of plantains and yucca. Almost every second tree on the property is medicinal or spiritually powerful, and it is fascinating to learn about the trees and their medicines. Ayahuasca, Chakruna, Chaliwonga, Chiric Sanango, Brazilian Toe, and many other plant teachers grow in abundance throughout the property. There are virtually unlimited possibilities for plant diets.

At night, sounds of crickets and other insects fill the cool night air. Hundreds of stars are visible in the sky. When it rains, it is beautifully relaxing to just lay around in a hammock or sleep.

The Temple property offers a retreat opportunity where one can re-examine their life, let go of the past, plan for the future, and pray to strengthen their connection with God and the plant spirits. Sometimes, the quietness and solitude can be quite shocking to the mind of a busy modern person, but after several days of adjustment, one begins to love this beautiful and simple environment.

The retreat property was bought by Andrew with the intention of benefiting everyone. Due to the fact that he owns the land and has a working agreement with Javier, Andrew can negotiate prices far below those of other centers. The price paid for the land has not yet been recovered. For that reason, we ask anyone staying at the Temple property to pay a down payment directly to Andrew. Thank you.
