The following is an excerpt from Andrew’s upcoming book.  It is a description of one of the ceremonies at Javier DaSilva’s house: During the second half of the ceremony, I saw many spirits. They looked exactly like humans, and seemed just as solid. Some of them would just walk by, others would come and stay near me. One of Javier’s students came to me and rubbed my back a little bit, then started to do something to open my third eye. After he finished, a spirit doctor came to me and began to suck something out of my forehead. I... read more

I have just received an email from Peru with pictures of the improvements at the center.  In short: A boardwalk was built that runs from the first house to the temple. Two bathrooms were added, both with ceramic toilets Several new single-accommodation houses were constructed for dieters A vegetable garden planted for organic homegrown veggies In other news, I am in contact with a filmmaker who will be making a documentary about Ayahuasca healing at our center sometime in January.  I am inviting other film makers to come and film, as we are very open to the idea of spreading... read more

Once in a while, I am asked for my advice regarding drinking ayahuasca without a Shaman.   My answer is that not only do I not recommend drinking ayahuasca alone, but also  from my experience, taking any magic plant, sedative or alcohol can be disastrous after becoming involved with the spiritual world.  Once you cross a certain line on the path, taking any substance recreationally opens one to attacks by demons.  Here I will illustrate with three examples submitted by anonymous writers. 1) Marijuana and Sedatives ” I went to sleep late after drinking valerian and smoking a few puffs of... read more

The following aphorisms are a few of the first teachings I received from the spirit while working with Ayahuasca. Send love to your loved ones. Daily. Forgive everyone against whom you have any kind of sour feelings. Send them love. Nothing good can come from bad thoughts or feelings Evil is created with evil thoughts The cleaner and more pure a body is, the finer the spirit There is a constant battle between good and evil If you are not with one, you are with the other The dark forces are in power only because we let them Difficulties are... read more

I first became introduced to the concept of demonic entities while I was studying with Javier in Peru. I noticed in many cases that he diagnosed various people coming to him as having “a negative energy” or a “demon” attached to them. The result of having this negative energy or demon was usually a certain quality of life where things just don’t go well. These negative energies alienate friends, jeopardize relationships, and create much suffering. While I was with Javier, I became aware of the existence of these entities, but I had no idea how the process of removing them... read more

I have been receiving a lot of questions about apprenticeship and long-term stay, so I decided to write a bit on that topic. As some of you may know, I am not in Peru at the moment, so I am unable to serve as an interpreter. However, in case of apprenticeship, it is for the most part a solo process. The maestro only guides you, but everything happens within you individually. The role of the maestro is almost imperceptible. For the first month or so, I had the feeling that I wasn’t learning anything, and there is no formal teaching... read more

I have been traveling for the last year through Peru and now through Mexico, trying to figure out the mechanics of healing, and so far the most powerful people I have encountered were all implementing a lot of religion, especially christianity in their work. This has been true in both Peru and Mexico. Without exception, the most powerful healers I met were Christian, and the most powerful healing songs were prayers. Some may argue, but this has been my experience. A Mexican healer told me that the best way to defend against brujeria, or black magic, is to allign yourself... read more

In a recent ceremony with Javier, he spoke about 2012. He speaks about this topic often. He is convinced that there will be a series of major catastrophes, during which up to 1/3 of the Earth’s population will perish. As I read today’s newspaper about Haiti’s tragedy, Javier’s words came to mind. He promised 7 major earthquakes before the final cataclysm. After the 4th or 5th earthquake, he said things will really get rough. After the California earthquake, this is the second major earthquake. Javier also spoke about shortages of water. He said that drinking water will become an expensive... read more
